Privacy policy

This is my personal site. I don't ask you for anything, and this page says plainly what happens when you visit.

What the site collects

Nothing that identifies you. There are no forms, sign-ups, comments or ads, and the site itself sets no cookies.

No analytics or tracking script runs on these pages. The only figures I see are the overall traffic totals Cloudflare counts as it serves the site, such as the number of visits and the countries they come from.

What your browser keeps

A few small settings stay in your own browser so the site can remember them. They never leave your device:

  • your light or dark look and your motion level, if you choose them yourself;
  • for the current visit only: whether Home's opening has played, where you were on Home, and a quick measure of how smoothly your device draws animation, which picks the motion level.

You can remove them at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser. Search also runs in your browser: its index comes from this site, and what you type is not sent anywhere.

Hosting

Cloudflare serves the site and protects it. Like any host, it handles each request, including your IP address and your browser's details, to deliver the page and keep out abusive traffic, and it may set a short-lived security cookie while doing so; Cloudflare's own privacy policy covers this. I keep no logs of my own.

Links and live demos

Links to LinkedIn, GitHub, Tovanto's website and other sites take you to sites with their own privacy policies. When you follow one, it learns only that you came from idanach.com, not from which page.

The live demos open at their own addresses on idanach.com. They are separate apps filled with sample data, so please don't type real personal details into them: in most of them, what you enter can be seen by the next visitor until the demo resets, usually about three hours later. Some keep your changes only in your own browser.

Questions

For anything about privacy on this site, write to me on LinkedIn (opens in a new tab). If anything here changes, I will update this page and the date at its top.
